Jacob Varner, 20, Hollandale

The funeral service for Jacob Daniel Varner of Hollandale will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Hollandale Christian Reformed Church, Hollandale. The Rev. Gary Brouwers will officiate. Interment will be in Hollandale Cemetery. Visitation will be
5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service Albert Lea and one
hour before the service at the church.
Jacob died suddenly, Monday, March 10, 2008 at Albert Lea Medical Center.
He was 20 years old.
Jacob was born Dec. 14, 1987, in Austin to Daniel Varner and Cynthia (Helgeson) DeVries.
He graduated from Albert Lea High School in November of 2006.
Jacob has been a lifetime resident of Hollandale.
He worked for the Rob Louters Lettuce Farm. Jacob enjoyed motorcycles and snowmobiling. He also liked to hunt, fish, draw, and putting stereos&8217; into cars. He especially enjoyed life. There was always a glitter in his eyes and a smile on his face.
Jacob is survived by his parents:
Cindy and Pete DeVries of Hollandale; sisters: Chrissy Holtberg and her husband Bucky of Blooming Prairie and soon to arrive a niece or a nephew and Laura Varner of Hollandale; grandparents:
Cecil and Barb Varner of Hollandale; grandmother: Mary Helgeson of Hollandale; grandmother: Sylvia DeVries of Hollandale; uncle: Charlie Varner of Hollandale; and many other uncles, aunts, cousins, and many special friends.
Jacob is preceded in death by his father: Daniel Varner; grandfather:
Glen Helgeson and aunt Nancy Varner.
