Knights down Awesome Blossoms

ALDEN &8212; The Alden-Conger boys&8217; basketball team overcame an 11-point halftime deficit to down Blooming Prairie 62-60 Thursday.
The Knights hit their shots and played good defense throughout the game to get the win.
Sam Hallman led the way for A-C with 27 points and nine rebounds. Matt Bremseth added nine points and Andy Cords contributed eight.
A-C is now 11-13 on the season as it prepares to face Medford in sub-section action Thursday at St. Olaf.
Schaeffer 49, G-E 47 OT
GLENVILLE &8212; The Glenville-Emmons boys&8217; basketball team lost to Schaeffer Academy by double figures the first time these two teams met this season. Thursday the Wolverines went to overtime before falling 49-47.
Garrett Schumaker led the way with 16 points for the Wolverines while Jake Kirsch added 14.
The Wolverines started fast getting off to a 16-8 lead, but the game was tied at 26-26 at halftime.
G-E had a chance to win the game in regulation but missed a 3 at the horn.
Schaeffer Academy won the game with a pair of free throws after G-E tied it with 27 seconds left in the extra session.
The Wolverines concluded the regular season with a 4-22 mark and will open section play at home against the Minnesota School of the Deaf Monday.
Maple River 76, NRHEG 48
NEW RICHLAND &8212; Fourth-ranked Maple River downed New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva 76-48 Thursday.
Brad Kruckeberg led the Panthers with 15 points while both Dakota Tracy and Keith Billing added seven points apiece.
Maple River jumped out to a 41-15 halftime lead before the Panthers played nearly even in the second half.
NRHEG finished the regular season with a 17-8 record and will open sub-section play at home Saturday against Kasson-Mantorville.
