Buk Gaak Gany was arrested Friday after a car chase that traveled down Broadway Avenue and Margaretha Avenue, ending in a residential driveway.
Officers were with Gany and another person just after 5 p.m. Friday on South Broadway north of Margaretha Avenue, discussing a civil issue between the two people.
Lt. Phil Bartusek said officers could smell alcohol on Gany&8217;s breath and tested him for alcohol. As the test came back positive for alcohol consumption over the legal limit, Gany was sitting in his car with three children, ages 2, 5 and 7.
Gany took off after the alcohol test, Bartusek said, driving south on Broadway, turning onto Margaretha, then onto 16th Street and finally pulling into a driveway.
Gany was arrested for second-degree DWI, felony fleeing with a motor vehicle and child endangerment. Bartusek said Gany was taken into custody and the children were placed in care.
