Marion Sorenson, 74, of Hayward

Funeral services for Marion Jean Sorenson, 74, of Hayward will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Hayward Lutheran Church. The Rev. John Malm will officiate. Burial will be at the Hayward Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Marion died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at Albert Lea Medical Center.
Marion Sorenson was born on Oct. 2, 1933 to William and Deborah (Underwood) Krowiorz in Wells. Marion attended school in Wells. She married Donald Sorenson on Sept. 3, 1950 in Wells. Marion had various interesting jobs throughout her life. Her last employment was as a clerk for Holsum Bakery. Marion enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and singing old-time country music. She also enjoyed dressing up; looking nice was very important to her. Marion was a member of the Hayward Lutheran Church. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Linda (Steven) Johnson, David Sorenson, Pamela Beauchane, Beverly Wright, Cheryl Schroeder and Chuck (Mary) Sorenson all of Hayward, Lyle (Chris) Sorenson of Esterville, Iowa; 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Brandt of Hayward; brothers and sisters-in-law; special cousin, Pat Bauers; special friend, Randy Ziegler and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald; three brothers, Clifford, Daniel, and Lester; and sister, Pauline.
