Nellie Sipple, 74, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Nellie Eleanora Sipple will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Theodore Catholic Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. James Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in the St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery, Albert Lea. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea and one hour before service at the church.
Nellie died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at her home. She was 74 years old.
Nellie was born in Waseca on Sept. 19, 1933, the daughter of Lewis and Nellie (Conroy) Walters. She attended Mapleton School District. Nellie was married to Ted Sipple on Nov. 28, 1953, in Albert Lea. She had been a resident of Albert Lea most of her life. Nellie was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church.
Nellie enjoyed flower gardening, cooking, bird watching. Her greatest enjoyment was the time she spent taking care of her grandkids and being with family.
Nellie is survived by her husband Ted of Albert Lea; children, Charles of Albert Lea, Diane (Mark) Johnson of Minnetonka, Bev (Scott) Hovey of Rochester and Alan Sipple of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Amy (Bruce) Mandler, Jackie Larson, Eric (Laura) Johnson, Anna Johnson and fianc/ (Chad), Nikki Lehnertz and Kari Sipple and fiance (Joel); great-grandchildren: Ashley Lehnertz, Felicia Mandler, Alexis Mandler and Aidan Larson; sisters: Margaret Lang of Hutchinson and Florence (Dan) Gilster of Albert Lea; brothers: Harold &8220;Buck&8221; (Kathryn) Walters of Grand Forks, N.D., Francis (Marge) Walters of Mapleton, Lewis (Annabelle) Walters of Ariz., Ron (Diane) Walters of Wells.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; great-granddaughter Ashley Mandler; four brothers; and one sister.
