Permit issued for new Moose Club

Just two building permits provided 72 percent of the valuation reported for February by the City of Albert Lea Inspection Department.
One of these permits with a valuation of $100,000 was issued to Skyline Plaza Associates LLC, 1632 W. Main St., for the interior remodeling of the former food court area to be converted into the new Moose Club.
The second February permit had a valuation of $125,674 and was issued to St. John&8217;s Lutheran Home, 901 Luther Place, for the installation of a sprinkler system.
A total of 12 building permits with a valuation of $315,421 were issued by the city during February. This increases the valuation of permits to $534,340 for the first two months of the year.
At the end of February 2007, the city&8217;s report shows a total valuation for permits issued as $3,250,735.
The Freeborn County Planning and Zoning Office issued eight permits during February with a listed valuation of $173,440. This increases the estimated total of county-issued permits to $459,729 for the first two months of 2008.
Two of the county permits in February were for new homes in the Hollandale area and one permit was for a home addition.
