Anna Marie Gallagher was born Feb. 17, 1914, on the family farm located in Kossuth County to Ferdinand and Lena Miller.

She married George Grant Gallagher on Feb. 17, 1934. She was married in the Rev. Kitzmann&8217;s home in Elmore. They farmed in Kossuth County until their retirement. They were blessed with 60 wonderful years; able to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary before George&8217;s passing.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. During her years in Albert Lea she attended Zion Lutheran. Anna was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Ladies&8217; Aid for many years.

Her favorite things in life were spending time with her family, admiring and watching the flowers and birds, baking apple pie and tending to her garden.

Anna died on Saturday, April 12, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. She was 94 years old.

She is survived by her five daughters; Marilyn Greenwood of Eagle Bend; Mildred Heidecker and husband Elnor of Moundsview; Lorraine Thomsen of Lakota, Iowa; Linda Roemmich and husband Darrel of Albert Lea; Ramona Bailey and husband Richard of Savanna, Ill.; grandchildren: Marla Kay; Mark; Mahlon; Marsha; Deron; Denise; Sheryl; Sheila; Sherman; Shawn; Stuart; LaRon; Randy; Linette; Raelynn; Jamie; Sara; and Breanna; thirty-six great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson; three sons-in-law; and all nine of her brothers and sisters.

Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Elmore. The Rev. Dale Kohrs and Rev. Arno Melz will officiate. Interment will be at St. Matthews Cemetery, Stevens, Iowa. Winter Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Buffalo Center, Iowa, were in charge of arrangements.

Honorary bearers were Gary Johnson and Harlan Melz. Casket Bearers were Mark Hagedorn, Mahlon Hagedorn, Deron Heidecker, LaRon Skaare, Randy Skaare, Shawn Thomsen, and Sherman Thomsen.
