Arlene Frondal, 73, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Arlene L. Frondal of Albert Lea will be 11 a.m. Friday at Oakland Lutheran Church, rural Oakland. The Rev. Bob Berthold will officiate. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and

one hour before the service at the church.

Arlene died Monday, April 28, 2008, at Albert Lea Medical Center. She was 73 years old.

Arlene was born Dec. 3, 1934, at Albert Lea, to Melvin and Lila (Larson) Sorenson. She grew up in the Albert Lea area. Arlene graduated from high school and the Albert Lea Vo-Tech.

After her marriage to Stanley Frondal on Sept. 17, 1955, at Salem Lutheran Church, Albert Lea they moved to rural Oakland, then Blooming Prairie. and back to Oakland and then Albert Lea in 1998. Arlene was a member of Oakland Lutheran Church where she had been the church secretary for many years.

She was also active in the ladies circles and had been secretary-treasurer for the church council.

Arlene had worked for Wilson & Co., was active in tax preparing for 35 years the last 20 years working for Hill, Larson, Walth & Benda. While living in Blooming Prairie from 1979

to 1986, they owned the Big T Family Restaurant. Arlene enjoyed collecting Barbie Dolls, Coca Cola Memorabilia, banks, deer figurines and deer pictures.

Arlene is survived by her husband Stanley Frondal of

Albert Lea; mother Lila Sorenson of Albert Lea; children: Debra Leimbek and her husband Dan of Malmo, Bruce Frondal of Dodge Center, Pamela Hoverson and her husband Rick of Albert Lea, and Steven Frondal and his wife Lisa of Oakland; grandchildren: Zach and Sarah Hoverson and Tammy and Justin Frondal; sister: Carol Wendel and her husband Jim of Albert Lea; brother: Roger Sorenson and his wife Mary of Hawaii; sisters-in-law: Fern and Walter Wangen of Oakland, and Adeline Cochlin of Austin; and many nieces and nephews.

Arlene is preceded in death by

her father, Melvin Sorenson; mother and father-in-law: Ella and Knute Frondal; and brothers-in-law: Mike Cochlin and Arnold Frondal.
