Back and forth game for A-C baseball

ALDEN &8212; It was a see-saw battle for Alden-Conger Tuesday night against St. Clair.
The Knights lost 9-8 to the Cyclones unable to make a second comeback in the game. Alden-Conger trailed St. Clair much of the game, but gained a 7-6 lead heading into the final frame.
But with two outs and two strikes the Cyclones got a clutch hit and took a 9-7 lead heading into the bottom half.
The Knights scored one run in the inning, but couldn&8217;t find another despite a the comeback effort.
Sophomore righthander Matt Jenson made his season debut for Alden-Conger and threw a complete game, striking out four and inducing a number of ground ball outs.
Seniors Mitch Kleinschrodt and Matt Bremseth led the offense for the Knights as Kleinschrodt went 3-for-4 and Bremseth had a 2-for-2 night at the dish.
