Joe Warvin and Michael Bergdale, two mechanics employed at Bergdale Harley-Davidson, received their technician&8217;s licenses this month through Harley-Davidson University.
To receive certification, the two were required to take online course and go through four days of classroom training. The training was held in Orlando, Fla., where the two spent 32 hours working under the instruction of HDU Professor Alan Bridges. The courses have trained the mechanics in the areas of work ethic, professionalism and technical ability. The license ensures that the mechanics will perform all service procedures to factory specifications.
Dustin Rafdahl, mechanic at Bergdale&8217;s, also completed a course for the 1125R-Buell through HDU in Milwaulkee. He has been employed at Bergdale&8217;s for 10 years and is certified in all Harley-Davidson products including Buell. He has completed 12 week-long courses and is now certified as a master technician.
The courses are being completed by the three mechanics to ensure a dedication to service and quality.
