Collision with pole causes power outage

TWIN LAKES — About 140 Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services members living west and south of Glenville and southwest of Twin Lakes were without power Thursday for six hours after a traffic wreck earlier that morning.
According to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, a 34-year-old woman veered off the road near the intersection of County Road 18 and County Road 5 and hit a transmission pole — knocking out the electricity.
She received minor injuries from the incident, according to reports.
Affected Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services, members were without power from about 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
