James Kranebell, 61, Wabasha

Funeral services for James (Jim) Kranebell and his mother Beverly Kranebell will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday April 13, at Our Savior&8217;s Lutheran Church, 320 W. College St., Albert Lea. The Rev. Wayne Halvorson and Vicar Boyd Longshore will officiate. Albert Lea veterans&8217; organizations will participate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, 525 W. Clark St., Albert Lea, and one hour before services at the church. There will be a short time of sharing at 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Jim died on Friday April 4, 2008, while vacationing in Florida. He was 61.
Jim was born in Albert lea on Nov. 1, 1946,
son of Orison (Ace) and Beverly (Beck) Kranebell. He graduated from Albert Lea High School.
After serving in the U.S. Armed Forces in Germany, he married Marsha Borland on Oct. 12, 1968. For 30 years Jim worked as a Pedorthist for Lair&8217;s Shoes in Rochester. He retired and has been traveling, motorcycling and spending precious time with his grand children, for the last seven years.
During his retirement Jim also worked part time farming for Tedd Kruger in Plainview.
He had a passion for nature, the river, music and riding his Gold Wing with great friends. Jim was a member of the American Legion and Gold Wing Riders of America.
He is survived by his wife Marsha; son Chad; daughter-in-law Nikki; and two grandchildren, Jackson and Audrey.
Jim was preceded in death by his father Orison (Ace) Kranebell.
Jim&8217;s love for people and fun was known by all he touched. He will be greatly missed.
