The funeral Mass for Mary A. Ellis was at 10 a.m. Friday, April 4, at the Resurrection Catholic Church in Rochester, with the Rev. David Byrne officiating. Interment was in Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Ellis, 57, of Rochester, died Monday, March 31, 2008, at Saint Marys Hospital, of lung cancer.

Mary Ann Komoszewski was born Oct. 22, 1950, in Albert Lea, where she grew up. Following high school, she moved to St. Paul. On Oct. 16, 1976, she married John W. Ellis in Albert Lea. They lived in Montgomery and in 1989, moved to Rochester. She was a secretary/receptionist for the Private Industry Council. Mr. Ellis is employed with ISD 535. She enjoyed fishing, cats, bingo and friends.

Survivors include her husband, John; and siblings, John (Georgia), Henry and Jean Komoszewski, all of Albert Lea; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kaz and Anna Komoszewski.

Macken Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
