The Albert Lea girls&8217; track team finished seventh Tuesday at the True Team section meet in Faribault.

The No. 4-ranked AA team of Mankato East advanced to state with a first place finish with 337 points. Waseca placed second with 296 and Fairmont and Faribault tied at 268.

The Tigers accumulated 176.5 point behind the first place finish of their 4×800 meter team of Sarah Wenum, Brittini Lair, Alex Ciota and Alyssa Sager.

Christy Monson, a seventh-grader, finished third in both the 1,600 and 3,200 races.

Wenum meanwhile placed sixth in the high jump and fifth in the 800.
