Anita Janzig, 88, Blue Earth

Anita Ida Janzig, 88, of Blue Earth, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at St. Luke&8217;s Lutheran Care Center in Blue Earth. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. The Rev. Dale Kohrs will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Wells.
Anita Ida Janzig was born Dec. 26, 1919, the daughter of Charles and Meta (Witte) Miller in Colby, Wis. On May 25, 1938, Anita was united in marriage to John H. Janzig in Wells. She and John enjoyed traveling all over the United States on bus tours and European tours. Anita was very active in the formation of Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wells. She was active in the Dorcas Mission Society, LWML in the Lutheran Faith. Anita was a member of the Foster Township Project (Extension group). She enjoyed hardanger and embroidery work, reading and baking. She especially enjoyed her children and grandchildren.
Anita is survived by her children: two daughters: Vernita (Clifford) Buendorf, of Walters, Karen (Donald) Jensen of Kiester; two sons: Jerry (Lori) Janzig of Alden, and Jonathan (Tami) Janzig of Wells; 13 grandchildren: Clyde (Diane) Buendorf, David (Carol) Buendorf, Dale (Paula) Buendorf, Mike Jensen, Ranae Jensen, Roxanne Reese, Rita (Bill) Schutter, Marcus Jensen, Heather Janzig, Jared Janzig, Jordan Janzig, Anissa Janzig, and Annette Hansmeier; 15 great-grandchildren: Claire and Jack Buendorf, Payton and Lauren Buendorf, Mason and Henry Buendorf, Jennifer Jensen, Lisa Deyo, Zakkery Reese, Ethan and Haley Schutter, Tanner, Spencer and Kayler Jensen, and Paul Nejeschleba; three great-great-grandchildren: Garrett, Gabrielle and Garner Deyo; and one sister, Berna Morris of Portland, Ore.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, husband John H. Janzig, son John Charles Janzig and granddaughter, Rhonda Jensen Mattick.
