Memorial services will be held at a later date for Douglas C. Brandsoy, 56,

of Bricelyn, who died Sunday at St Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Douglas was born Jan. 1, 1952, in Blue Earth, the son of Harold and Eleanor (Siglowski) Brandsoy. He was a graduate of Albert Lea High School and spent most of his adult life in Minneapolis. The past few years have been spent in Bricelyn.

Doug had been employed as a photographer for many years and also worked evenings as a cook for various restaurants.

Doug was a gifted painter and enjoyed drawing, taking pictures and cooking.

Doug is survived by his father Harold Brandsoy of Albert Lea; siblings, Faye and her husband Brent Smith of Albert Lea, Dean Brandsoy of Austin, Dennis Brandsoy of Jordan, Janet Anderson and her special friend Bill Hadley of Sarasota, Fla., Randy and his wife Dorene Brandsoy of Canon City, Colo., Sharon and her husband Mike Tronstad of Hudson, Wis., and Tim Brandsoy of San Diego, Calif.. There are many nieces and nephews.

Doug was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor, and sister-in-law, Sharon Brandsoy.
