Readers have made suggestions of what should be at the online version of the Tribune, but for months staff have mentioned a new site coming soon.

Well, it’s almost here. The new AlbertLeaTribune.com debuts June 1.

Readers of the new site will notice more photos, more videos, more reader participation and more of your stuff to.

Do you know how Facebook, Flickr, Yahoo or MySpace sites can be communities for groups of people, such as quilters or conspiracy theorists? Well, this will be the online community for the Albert Lea area.

Plus, readers will be pleased to find that nearly all the content in the regular paper will be online, too. Did your service club have a photo in the paper? It will be on the Web site, too.

This has been a major undertaking, so don’t miss out. June 1 is this Sunday.
