Todd Allen Brunsvold, 44, of Northwood, Iowa, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at his home.
Funeral services for Todd will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Lutheran Church, 309 North 9th Street, Northwood, with the Rev. Daniel R. Hart of First Lutheran Church, and the Rev. Tom Martin of Elk Creek Lutheran Church and Bethany Lutheran Church in Kensett officiating. Burial will be in the Elk Creek Lutheran Cemetery, rural Kensett. Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Conner Colonial Chapel, 1008 First Ave. South, Northwood. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to service time on Friday at the church.
The family of Todd Allen Brunsvold, has suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Elk Creek Lutheran Cemetery, or to the charity of ones choice in his memory.
Todd Allen Brunsvold was born on Oct. 19, 1963, in Albert Lea, the son of Donald A. and Margie D. (Reyerson) Brunsvold. Todd attended and received his education in the Northwood-Kensett Community School, graduated from Northwood-Kensett High School in 1982. After completing his schooling, Todd moved to San Diego, Calif., and worked construction. Todd also worked for Richard Dahley (Midwest Cable Company) installing cable T.V. before forming his own cable company in 1997, named Iowa Communication Company installing cable throughout the Midwest. In May of 1998, Todd became the owner-operator of the Northwood Sanitation Company.
Todd enjoyed taking care of his lawn, snowmobiles, jet skiing, golfing, motorcycles, talking to friends, making deals and helping others.
He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Northwood.
Left to cherish his memory is his parents, Marge and David Tenold of Northwood; his grandmother, Dorothy Reyerson of Northwood; his brother, Mike Brunsvold of Northwood, his sister, Teresa Brunsvold of New York City, N.Y.; his niece, Jadyn Brunsvold of New York City, N.Y.; special friend, Dawn Knaack of Northwood; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many special friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Brunsvold in June 1990, grandfather, Maurice Reyerson; grandparents, Sylvia and Albert Brunsvold; two uncles, Dale Moen, and Loren Hrubetz, and cousins.
