Timely hitting was nowhere to be found for the United South Central baseball team Monday night against Martin County West.
The Rebels (6-5 overall, 5-2 Gopher) left the bases loaded three times with less than three outs in a 5-4 loss to the Mavericks.
Darin Stenezel took the loss, going 4 innings and allowing three runs.
USC walked eight Martin County West batters and three of those walks did indeed come back to haunt the Rebels as they came across to score.
USC only accounted for five base hits on the night and couldn&8217;t find the big hit when the had the Mavericks on the ropes.
The Rebels scored one run in the sixth inning to make the game 5-4 but couldn&8217;t find anymore and that&8217;s how the game ended.
USC 100 201 0 – 4 5 3
