With only four seniors on its roster the United South Central softball team gained some valuable experience in its postseason run.
The Rebels won two games including a first round game over LeCenter/Cleveland and a 12-3 win over Holy Family Saturday before St. Peter sent them home with a 17-0 loss.
&8220;Next year we hope to go further because of the experience we had this year and contend for the conference,&8221; USC head coach Brad Huse said.
The Rebels lose only two starters and return starting pitch Kellie Robbins who put together a strong junior year.
Robbins went seven innings, struck out five and allowed three hits in the victory over Holy Family.
The offense did its part as well in the 12-3 win but they couldn&8217;t keep it up as they were shutout against St. Peter.
&8220;I would have liked to have more than 13 wins,&8221; Huse said. &8220;But we went as far as we could.&8221;
