Vikings drop two against North Iowa

North Iowa took both games of a doubleheader against Northwood-Kensett Tuesday night.
The Buffalo won the first game 10-5 and the second game 12-4.
The Vikings jumped out of the gates to a quick 5-2 lead but North Iowa broke out for six runs in the third inning and Northwood-Kensett would not recover.
The Buffalo went on to add a run in the fourth and fifth inning for the win.
The Vikings committed six errors in the field and were unable to help starter Jordan Reindl on the mound.
Reindl threw five innings, allowed 10 runs, only three were earned, and struck out 10 in the loss.
Trent Midtgaard scored a run after he hit a double for the Northwood-Kensett offense. Reindl added a base hit as did Mike Steiff, Michael Bachtle and Jordan Cotter.
North Iowa had Clay Paulson hit a home run and score three times on the evening.
In the second game the Vikings found only one hit and struck out 10 times in a 12-4 loss.
