Frances Olson

Frances L. Olson, 80, of Owatonna, died Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Cedarview Care Center.
She was born July 30, 1927, in Faribault, the daughter of Frank and Hulda (Larson) Shook.
Frances grew up and attended school in Faribault, she then married Cecil Olson May 3, 1944, in Kenyon, and the couple lived in Owatonna. She worked at Truth Hardware and Frances and Cecil owned the Merton Store in Merton Township. After Cecil died in 1976 Frances moved to Faribault where she worked at Basilleo’s Pizza. Frances had many pastimes that she enjoyed, including Dancing, playing cards, canning, sewing, entertaining, and most of all her family.
Frances is survived by four children Dale (Theresa) Olson of Watertown, Wis., Roxanne (Jim) Jorgenson of Owatonna, Gary Olson of Clarks Grove, and Debi (Bill) Souba of Owatonna. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one brother Robert (Bev) Shook of Faribault.
Her husband, and two daughters Sandra and JoAnn preceded her in death.
Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. and at Trinity Lutheran Church Medford on Saturday one hour prior to the service. Funeral service will be held June at 10 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church Medford with the Rev. Dean Rudloff officiating. Interment will be in the Kenyon Cemetery.
