Letona Wright

Funeral services for Letona Alma Wright, age 80, of Stillwater, formerly of Albert Lea, will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Seventh-day Adventist Church. The Rev. Bill Nixon will officiate. Interment will be at Dell Lutheran Cemetery in Frost. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. 
Letona died Friday, June 20, 2008 in Woodbury.
Letona Alma Wright was born on Dec. 15, 1927, to Leon and Ida (Mrotz) Augst in Cumberland, Wis. She moved to the Ellendale area with her family. Letona attended Ellendale High School. She was united in marriage to Edward Wright on Dec. 10, 1948, in Ellendale. Letona worked for Green Giant, Del Monte, Telex Communications, as a caregiver at the Shepherd’s Inn and for various friends and family members. She also worked as a secretary for her husband’s income tax business. She retired in 1993. Letona formerly belonged to the Lutheran Church, Methodist Church and was currently a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Letona enjoyed dancing, reading, painting, flower gardening, traveling, feeding the ducks and watching the sailboats.
Survivors include her children, Rebecca Janke and husband Jim of Lakeland, Ramona Satre and companion Tim Thompson of Hot Springs Village, Alaska, Rita Halstead and husband Bill of Mankato and Robert Wright and wife Terry of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.; grandchildren Raquel Henning, Ryan Satre, Mandy Satre, Mitchell, Tom and Crystal Halstead and Justin Matthews; great-grandchildren, Chantel Janke, Natasha Mikulski, William Halstead, and Mia and Sophia Satre.
Letona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; and son-in-law, Kenny Satre.
