Tornado warnings done, now flood warnings

According to the National Weather Service, the tornado warnings for counties in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa have passed. The storm that produced them has moved to the east. A tornado watch was effect for much of the region until 8 p.m.

Mower, Fillmore and Houston counties are now under a flash flood warning. In Iowa, so are Winnebago, Worth, Cerro Gordo, Hancock, Howard, Winneshiek, Allamakee, Ida, Sac, Calhoun, Webster and Crawford counties. A tornado warning is in effect for Hamilton, Webster and Wright counties in Iowa.

The Weather Service also states that a second, slow-moving front could produce heavy flood-producing rains Saturday night for much of northern Iowa and southern Minnesota. The entire region is under a flood warning.
