Two men arrested on drug charges

On Sunday, a Freeborn County Drug Task Force deputy and a Freeborn County sheriff’s deputy arrested two males in Albert Lea for alleged sales of cocaine.
The first subject is a 34-year-old Albert Lea resident. He was arrested after an eight-month investigation for selling cocaine to a drug task force informant on three different occasions. One of those sales occurred in a park zone which enhances the penalties. He is expected to be charged in Freeborn County District Court today for two second-degree cocaine sales and one third-degree cocaine sale.
The second subject is also a 32-year-old Albert Lea resident. He was arrested after a five-month investigation involving sales of cocaine. He also reportedly sold cocaine to another drug task force informant. This subject is expected to be charged for one count of second-degree sale of cocaine in Freeborn County District Court today.
