Two of the injured people from this weekend’s car wreck on County Road 34 have been released from the hospital, according to a St. Marys spokeswoman Thursday morning.

The released include Charles Kenny Dennison, the driver of the 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche that went into the washed out area of the road, landed on top of a steel culvert and crashed into the south side portion of the washout, along with passenger Langdon Bachtle, longtime boyfriend of the late Kelly Jo Abrego, who died as a result of injuries sustained from the incident earlier this week.

The Mayo Clinic spokeswoman said passenger Broc Mark Dempewolf of Albert Lea was listed as fair condition, Nathan James Buchli of Albert Lea was listed as good condition and Kelly John Pechumer of Alden was still listed as critical condition.

All six people in the truck were taken to the Austin Medical Center following the incident, then transferred to the Rochester hospital.

The spot where the truck crashed was the same place of a previous car wreck on June 12 that killed Dale Wangen of rural Albert Lea.

Investigators with the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office released no new information on the case Wednesday.
