County issues building permits for six new homes

Building activity in the county showed a major increase in activity during June. The latest report from the Freeborn County Planning and Zoning Office shows 38 building permits were issued during June with a listed valuation of $1,637,715. This increases the estimated valuation for county-issued permits to $4,105,861 during the first six months of the year.
Permits for six new homes and three home additions were issued by the county during June.
A permit with a valuation of $437,580 was issued for an office remodeling project at Ag Power Enterprises Inc. in Hollandale.
The Lubavitch Yeshiva of Minnesota was issued a building permit with a valuation of $54,001 for a library project in Freeborn.
The City of Albert Lea Inspection Department issued 65 building permits with a valuation of $676,141 during June. This increases the total valuation for permits to $5,938,210 for the first half of the year.
At the end of June 2007 the city’s report shows a total of $16,455,211 for permits issued.
