Crime: 3 Freeborn County men arrested in drug sting

Ten people, including three Freeborn County men, were arrested Friday after a drug sting operation in Austin.
According to a Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office press release, all three of the men from Freeborn County traveled to Austin to meet with a police informant to purchase about 2 1/2 ounces of cocaine. Once the men purchased the cocaine from the police informant, they were arrested and the cocaine was found in their possession.
All three were arrested for first-degree possession of cocaine.

Minor injuries received after rollover
A 17-year-old male driver and an unknown number of passengers received minor injuries at 1:43 p.m. Monday after the vehicle they were driving in rolled onto its roof near the intersection of 800 Avenue and 200th Street in Hayward, according to reports.
Man transported due to motorcycle wreck injuries
Thirty-two-year-old Michael James Mehlhorn was transported to the Albert Lea Medical Center at 11:45 p.m. Monday after he swerved to miss a rabbit and tipped the motorcycle he was driving on its side near the intersection of County Road 45 and County Road 23. Mehlhorn received injuries from sliding on the road, including a skinned-up back and right leg, according to Freeborn County Sheriff Mark Harig.
Spraypaint reported
One of the West Main Street via ducts pillars was reported spraypainted at 4:35 a.m. Monday, according to police reports.
