Kelly Abrego

The funeral service for Kelly Jo Abrego, of Myrtle, was held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church.
The Rev. Kenneth A. Jensen officiated. Interment was in Hollandale Cemetery. Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.
Kelly died as a result of a car accident on Monday, June 30, 2008, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. She was 25.
Kelly Jo was born on Jan. 18, 1983, in Cleburn, Texas, the daughter of Moses “Moe” and Sandra (Godtland) Abrego.
She attended Albert Lea Schools and had just recently was proud to have obtained her GED. She had worked at Home Depot and also at BP Gas on Main Street.
Kelly Jo’s life was her three beautiful daughters — she loved being a mom!
She loved to babysit everyone’s kids and will be remembered as Myrtle’s
“Neighborhood Mom.” Her friends were friends forever, her cell phone kept her connected to all those she loved.
She will be lovingly missed by her three special gifts: Haley, Leah and Alyiah; her fiance and loving companion, Langdon Bachtle; her mother, Sandra Abrego of Albert Lea; sister, Kristy Dennison, and brothers, Phillip and Erick Abrego, all of Albert Lea; nieces and nephews: Amber, Kenny, Trevor, Shawna and Alyssa; great-nephew, Blaze; her daughters’ grandparents: Todd and Paula Bachtle and Liz Bachtle and Curt Benson; her daughters’ great-grandparents: Maxine and Arlis Bachtle and great-grandmother Cecelia Peterson; and their uncle Levi Bachtle.
Kelly was preceded in death by her father Moses “Moe” Abrego in 2001.
