Kelly Pechumer

Funeral services for Kelly John Pechumer, age 37, of Albert Lea will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Freeborn County servicemen’s organization. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral home and one hour prior to the service.
Kelly died July 3, 2008, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.
Kelly John Pechumer was born on Jan. 11, 1971, to Linda Carpenter and Willard Pechumar in Great Lakes, Ill. Kelly graduated from Albert Lea High School where he enjoyed being on the wrestling team, going to the state tournaments twice. Kelly enjoyed fishing, sports, and collecting baseball and football cards. After high school Kelly attended Mankato State University and later entered the U.S. Army. After his discharge Kelly returned to Albert Lea where he worked at Streaters and most recently at Alamco.
Kelly is survived by his parents, Linda Carpenter and her husband David of Alden, and Willard Pechumer of West Virginia; sister, Amy Schauer and her husband Rodney of Glenco; maternal grandmother, Mavis Johnson of Albert Lea; special niece and nephew Tonia Tuttle and Tayler Tuttle.
Kelly was preceded in death by sisters, Dawn Tuttle and Karen Pechumer; paternal grandparents, Willard and Maxine Pechumer; maternal grandfather, Edward Johnson; uncle, Mike Johnson; and cousin, Matt Jenderny.
Kelly was a caring and giving person; he continued that in death through the gift of organ/tissue donation.
