Legislators won’t give answers on immigration

“We the people” aren’t allowed to pick and choose what laws we follow. So why should illegal aliens (foreign-born residents who have not been naturalized and who owe allegiance to another country) be allowed to violate the laws of our nation?
We are once again being bamboozled by election-year legislation when there are enough laws that simply aren’t being enforced.
Let’s apply some logic. Minnesota already has a law that when drug dealers are caught, law enforcement seizes their possessions. Why not apply the same logic to the corporations and other businesses that hire illegal aliens?
Don’t worry about not having any illegal aliens doing the work once they are deported. There are plenty of willing workers.
How come the illegals receive free health care? Federal law mandates that hospital emergency rooms treat any person who seeks care.
These costs are passed on to the taxpayers and increase insurance premiums for those of us who pay for medical insurance. In California alone 80 hospitals have closed their doors.
Are we going to give the gang members amnesty also?
These are a few of the questions to which I can’t get my legislators to give me an answer.
And as a veteran, I would like to emphasize that we didn’t fight to have a open borders.
