Funeral services for Rosemary Ruth Hovde, 77, of Albert Lea will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of St. Theodore. The Rev. John Traufler and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be at St. Theodore’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. Rosemary died Sunday, July 13, 2008, at her home.
Rosemary Ruth Hovde was born on June 16, 1931, to Laurens and Ruth (O’Connell) Workman in Minneapolis. She grew up in Minneapolis and was a 1949 graduate of Roosevelt High School. She married Gordon W. Hovde on May 5, 1954, in Minneapolis. Rosemary was a homemaker and had been a resident of Albert Lea for 22 years and a member of the Church of St. Theodore. 
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Gordon Hovde; children, Patrick Hovde of Minneapolis, Paul ( Lisa) Hovde of Chaska, Katie Hovde of Moundsview, Lisa (Dennis) Tomfohrde of Oseola, Wis., Christopher Hovde of West Hollywood, Calif., Charles (Lisa) Hovde of Alden, Rosanna (David) Steffen of Stacy; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Dan ( Marlene) Workman of Chaska; and nieces and nephews.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her father, Laurens Workman; mother, Ruth Workman; brothers, Laurence Workman and James Workman; and sister, Pat Quinlivan.
