ALMC psychiatrist attends summer conferences

Albert Lea Medical Center psychiatrist Karen Gosen, M.D., recently attended the “Psychiatry in 2008” conference hosted by Harvard Medical School and McLean Hospital in Boston and the Door County Summer Institute, in Egg Harbor, Wis.
The “Psychiatry in 2008” conference provided an update on general psychiatry with an emphasis on new findings, including current treatments of adult psychiatric patients.
The Door County Summer Institute featured the presentation “Autism to Asperger’s: Understanding, Diagnosing, and Treating the Rain Man Disorders,” by Peter Tanguay, M.D., F.A.C.P.
Gosen has worked at ALMC for more than 17 years.
