Democrats would like to choke the economy

Earlier this month, Tim Walz said that 10 billion barrels of oil from the Bakken Field of North Dakota and Montana and other state’s oil would be good for America. Yet Walz and all the rest of the House Democrats say that 10 billion barrels of oil from the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge will only make 1 or 2 cents per gallon of gas difference in price. Which is it?

When I went to school years ago, 10 billion was 10 billion. The only difference now is that extreme environmentalists control the House Democrats agenda.

Southern Minnesotans, what am I missing? I drive 22 miles round trip to work each day, and gas costs the same $4 a gallon or so here in the Cities. Farmers need gas or diesel for their tractors, like my grandpa did on his farm.

Tim Walz cannot have it both ways. We need all sources of oil and fuel developed now. We cannot conserve our way to a prosperous economy.

It seems that the Democrats want us to be perpetually deprived of the lifeblood of our economy, so we must depend on government handouts. I do not believe that is the American way of life.

What do you think?
