Salvation Army emergency disaster workers departed from Albert Lea Monday for Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They retrieved their equipment that was left behind for the relief effort after the June floods. The equipment was returned to Freeborn County and refitted for future use in this area.

Along with the equipment they brought back an ATV that was donated by Erlandson’s. This made the recovery efforts easier and allowed for better service to the residents of Palo, Iowa. The Salvation Army has made an effort to raise the money needed to keep this equipment for future use in disaster work. The Salvation Army is still about $4,000 short of the total purchase price.
