Regina N. Wachlin, 50, of Albert Lea, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008, at her home in Albert Lea. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells. The Rev. Meg Sander will officiate. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery in Wells.
Regina N. Wachlin was born Jan. 27, 1958, the daughter of Clair and Dorothy (Schultz) Olson in Wells. Gina had worked at Swift Ekrich and many summers at Del Monte in Wells. She enjoyed playing cards with her granddaughter Katie. She loved being outside enjoying the warm weather, mowing her lawn and tending her flower gardens. She especially enjoyed her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Sheila, and her husband, Bob Spain, of Clarks Grove; granddaughter, Katie Spain, of Clarks Grove; partner, Joel Anderson, of Albert Lea; two sisters: Rhonda (Everett) Iverson of Grenada, Miss., and Becky (Jim) Martin of Mason City, Iowa; one brother, Richard Olson of Hayward; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wachlin, in 1994; her parents; and brother, Randy Olson.
