The Lake Mills volleyball team kept its conference winning streak intact against Forest City Tuesday in a 3-1 win.
“This was really big for us to get the win and still be in a position to control our own destiny,” head coach Jim Boehmer said. “We’re feeling real good.”
The Indians were ranked No. 15 in Class 3A and it was the third ranked opponent the Bulldogs (8-0) have faced thus far in the season.
Lake Mills won the first game, but Forest City took the second game. The Bulldogs came back to take the next two games for the 3-1 win.
Lake Mills didn’t take the lead until late in the third game at 24-23 but rolled that momentum into the fourth game for a big win over a conference opponent.
Two-time all-conference winner Ali Dugger returned to the Lake Mills lineup after missing the first seven games due to illness. The Bulldogs will play their first home match of the season Thursday against Newman.
