Davis provides fresh and smart perspectives

Brian Davis, fresh from his primary victory over the capable and experienced state Sen. Dick Day, is going to be the best representative Minnesota ever had in the U.S. Congress. Republican or Democrat, I have never seen a person better able to grasp all of the material about a subject and come to his own conclusions. Brian will be a great leader in Congress.
U.S. Rep. Tim Walz, Dr. Brian Davis’ opponent in November, has yet to show that he has a grasp of important issues. By his voting record Tim Walz appears to be in over his head. Lacking his own opinion, Rep. Walz has followed the Democratic House leadership (97 percent of the time). His record of social spending has helped devalue our dollars and made life difficult for those of us with limited income.
Do you remember what Rep. Walz sent to us to deal with the energy crisis? It was a postcard telling us how to keep our car engines tuned and our tires inflated. He didn’t seem to understand the issue. He followed the Democratic lead in dealing with the energy crisis and chose to go home for break rather than hammer out a policy. Tim Walz’s energy policy (since July) shows no original thinking. He still doesn’t seem to grasp that we need to do everything in our power to bring the soaring costs under control.
Brian Davis has a real grasp of the problems and has been promoting aggressive solutions throughout his campaign (not just in July behind closed doors). Brian brings expertise in the areas of engineering, nuclear science and health care. He will bring solutions for the complicate problems. Brian is a leader, not a follower. Brian Davis is the best person to represent us.
