Robert Tewes will present a pipe organ recital at Grace Lutheran Church, 918 Garfield Ave. in Albert Lea, at 4 p.m. Sunday. The program will feature a variety of repertoire, specifically selected to highlight the tonal attributes of the Schlicker Neo-Baroque Tracker organ (1971) in the Sanctuary of Grace Lutheran.

Tewes is organist and music coordinator to the congregation of Grace Lutheran, a position he has held for eight years. Tewes has been active in the field of Church Music and Organ performance for more than 20 years. A regular recitalist and lecturer, he is also a published author and composer of music in a variety of idioms. He holds the master of music degree in organ performance and church music from Northwestern University (Evanston, Ill.,) and the bachelor of music degree in church music/organ performance from Valparaiso University (Valparaiso, Ind.).

While there is no admission charge to attend the recital, an offering will be received which will be earmarked to help fund the acquisition of Evangelical Lutheran Worship hymnals, to be placed in the Grace Lutheran pews by the first Sunday in Advent (Nov. 30).
