Published 9:15 am Monday, September 8, 2008
The 2008-09 program for the Hartland Lutheran Pioneers youth group will begin Thursday from 6:3 to 8:30 p.m. It will start at the Hartland Lutheran Church at the south end of the main street in Hartland.
On the first night, the group will travel to Arrowhead Park near Freeborn for an outing with a hot dog and marshmallow roast. Parents and siblings are invited.
Regular meetings are held twice a month on the second and fourth Thursdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The program is for any child in grades 1 through 8 and for grades 9 through 12 as junior leaders.
Lutheran Pioneers is a Christ-centered program teaching life skills along with Christian morals and faith in a fun and enjoyable way. There are several activities during the year including a trip to “The Barn,” swimming, a pine car derby and a summer campout. Any child of the area is eligible and urged to join. The program itself is free of charge. Activity costs are very minimal and can be confidentially eliminated if there is a problem for the family.
To join, just show up at the first meeting or call 845-2218 or (507) 383-2009.
