Larson Contracting was awarded the contract to build the Veterans Memorial Recreation Center in Garner, Iowa. The 22,836-square-foot facility will include a 10,000-square-foot exercise area with basketball and volleyball equipment, a three-lane suspended walking track, two multipurpose rooms, locker rooms, a weight room and an outpatient clinic to be run by the Hancock County Hospital.

The Veterans Memorial Recreation Center will be built on the site of the Garner Memorial Building. The project is expected to be completed by September 2009.
