MacKay receives Hy-Vee scholarship

Michael MacKay of Faribault was recently awarded a $1,000 higher-education scholarship by Hy-Vee Inc.
MacKay was chosen for the award because of his academic achievements and demonstrated interest in school and community activities. He is a student at Minnesota State University, Mankato, and works at the Faribault Hy-Vee.
He is the son of Mike MacKay and Shelley MacKay, both of Faribault, and grandson of Margie MacKay of Albert Lea.
Rose Kleyweg Mitchell, Hy-Vee vice president of education and government affairs, said the scholarship recipients rank at or near the top of their classes and are involved in school, church, civic and social activities.
