Myrtle Offenhauser

Funeral services for Myrtle Henrietta Offenhauser, 98, of Albert Lea will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. Curtis Zieske will officiate. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Glenville. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Myrtle died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at New Richland Care Center.
Myrtle Henrietta Offenhauser was born on June 20, 1910, to Chris and Minnie (Jensen) Jenson in Albert Lea. She grew up and went to school in the Albert Lea area and lived here most of her life. Myrtle was united in marriage to Lawrence Offenhauser on June 2, 1934. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and active in the ladies’ aid.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Jane Offenhauser Sr., of Elysian; three grandchildren, Wayne Offenhauser Jr., of Moundsview, Steve (Sharon) Offenhauser of Cottage Grove and Serena (Matthew) Ruzicka of Cannon Falls; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Offenhauser; parents, Minnie and Chris Jenson; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Mildred Jenson, Vernon and Maxine Jenson and Stanley and Kathryn Jenson; and daughter-in-law, Sharon (Henry) Offenhauser.
