Robert Christian

Robert W. Christian, passed away Sept. 18, 2008, in Westminster, Colo. He was born June 26, 1931 in Clinton, Iowa.
He married Florence J. Renchin on Oct. 21, 1953, and moved from Minnesota to Colorado in 1962.
Bob was an avid fisherman, loved polka dancing, enjoyed hunting, being a taxi driver for his grandchildren, telling stories and was a self taught painter after retiring.
He is survived by his beloved wife Florence of 55 years, children, Daniel and wife Diane of Westminster, Colo.; Gary and wife Linda of Albert Lea; Diane Ballard of Lindale, Texas; Gayle and life companion Doug of Broomfield, Colo.; Darlene Garduno-Gilby and husband Lynn of Westminster, Colo.; sister Shirley Nelson (Wes) of Albert Lea; brothers-in-law Donald (Mary Alice) Renchin of Twin Lakes; Robert (Kate) Renchin of MeQuon, Wis.; sisters-in-law Bernice (Maynard) King of Minneapolis; Carol Becker of Hayward; 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Preceded in death by parents John and Esther Christian, and Anton and Agnes Renchin, brother-in-law David Becker Sr., sister-in-law Judy Renchin, son-in-law James Ballard and great-grandson Aric Ballard.
Evening viewing is from 6 to 8 p.m. at Valley Lutheran Church, today. Service is at 10 a.m. at Valley Lutheran Church, Tuesday, with viewing one hour prior. Burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
