Two arrested for DWI after hit-and-run crashes

Police arrested Jill Marie Woodside, 20, for fourth-degree DWI, third-degree test refusal, minor consumption and underage drinking and driving at 9:34 p.m. Wednesday, after receiving a call that a white Ford Taurus hit a tree and took out a pole on Clark Street, reports stated. The car kept going westbound on Clark Street and was located in an alley off of Third Avenue.
In a second instance, police arrested Daniel Mercado Talamantes, 46, for third-degree DWI and test refusal after he reportedly hit another vehicle in the drive-through at McDonald’s and took off toward the downtown area, according to reports. Police located him at his residence.
Gas line hit
A gas line on 1410 W. Ninth St. was reported hit at 8:56 a.m. Wednesday, according to police reports. Reports indicated the line was able to be shut off before Alliant Energy arrived there.
