MANKATO &8212; The United South Central volleyball team downed Mankato Loyola in three games Tuesday 25-17, 25-18, 25-9.

Sabrina Bushlack was a force at the net for the Rebels collecting seven kills and three blocks in the match. Samantha Sonnek added four kills while Ciara Christenson had four aces and 15 assists.

The victory improved the Rebels to 10-7 on the season and 2-4 in the Gopher Conference.

ALDEN &8212; The Alden-Conger volleyball team ran into a tough Martin County West team and lost in three games 22-25, 16-25, 16-25.

Haley and Justine Johnson combined for 13 kills and Krista Mathiason added 21 digs for the Knights.

&8220;We covered the court well and played well, but we couldn&8217;t get the win,&8221; A-C head coach Melissa Wasmoen said.
