Erdman has skills that benefit city

On Nov. 4, we all have the privilege of voting for mayor. I’m hopeful that you’ll find the decision as easy as my husband and I have. We’re voting for Randy Erdman again. For us, there’s no alternative. He’s the guy that will continue to demonstrate the leadership and knowledge required so that we can take advantage of the positive momentum our city has gained since his election two years ago.

Randy has an unwavering positive spirit about our city. He has always been kind, considerate and respectful to the citizens of Albert Lea. He has an extraordinary gift for building critical relationships with others — especially those from whom Albert Lea needs support (regional, state and federal leaders). This particular relationship-building gift will become even more critical for our city as we move forward. Randy’s skill here was demonstrated just last year when Gov. Tim Pawlenty arrived in Albert Lea to sign the bonding bill where our city received a significant amount of money for the Edgewater Park cleanup as well as the Blazing Star Landing.

Randy consistently shows outstanding leadership for our city because he brings a sense of integrity to all that he does. Doing so allows him to deliver to the best of his ability. He insists on openness and communication. He has always been receptive to fresh insights and perspectives. He has an innate ability to quickly assess any situation and draw pragmatic conclusions. I’ve personally observed him being able to switch between significant detail and the big picture to shape a vision. These skills allow him to make good, quality decisions on behalf our city and his constituents.

So for Tom and Tami Staker, considering all of his positive attributes, making the decision to vote for Randy again is incredibly easy. We hope that you’ll see that as well and re-elect Randy Erdman as mayor of Albert Lea on Nov. 4.
