Our Savior’s Lutheran Church will host a very mission festival on Sunday. The focus will be on the growing Christian church in India.

Kalyan Gollapalli and his family join will join church members for the day to give a presentation about the mission work that is being carried out in India and then to preach a sermon in English.

Kalyan was trained in the Lutheran Mission of Salvation of India (LMSI) to be an Evangelist — to go out and conduct worship services and to minister to the citizens of India. He was then encouraged by his church body to come to Mankato to study further.

Kalyan and his family with be giving a presentation to families and Sunday school children who are curious about the work being carried out in India around 9:30 a.m. The worship service will then follow at 10 a.m. with Kalyan delivering the sermon. The ladies’ aid will then be hosting a mission dinner at 11:30 a.m., followed by a more detailed mission presentation with slides and videos at about 12:15 p.m.
