Postmaster Florence Welch announces that the Albert Lea Post Office will be closed Monday, Oct. 13, in observance of Columbus Day.

The service counter and bulk mail acceptance facilities will be closed. There will be no mail delivery service and mail will not be sorted to post office boxes. However, collection boxes around the city will be picked up and the lobby will be open from 5 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Normal mail services will resume on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
