Thank you for your campaign support

With Election Day less then a week away I want to say thank you to everyone who opened their doors and visited with me during the campaign. You took the time to listen to my views and ideas and gave me your feed back about the direction Freeborn County should go in the future. I also want to thank those of you who were not home when I stopped in, but took the time to read my literature I left at your door. Lastly I want to thank everyone who called or e-mailed me with your questions and and giving me the opportunity to answer your concerns.
I want you to know that I have heard you loud and clear. I understand your concerns with our roads and bridges; we agree about the need to bring living wage jobs to the area, and I understand the real hardships that increasing property taxes are playing on you the taxpayers. I share your concerns and fears that we are taxing our citizens out of their homes. That is why I promise to you that I will do all I can to find ways to keep our property taxes in check. Be it by going to St. Paul and talking to the Legislature about increasing state aid to counties or by looking at different avenues such as conservation, cutting wasteful and questionable spending and to look for other possibilities to keep property taxes in line. I believe you, the taxpayers of Freeborn County, deserve that.
The county commissioners are going to have to make some tough decisions over the next four years and I want you to know that the tax burden that is put on you the taxpayers will always be in the forefront of my mind.
Again, thank you all for your kindnesses and generosity you have shown me during this campaign, and I would like to ask for your vote on Tuesday.
Mike Lee
candidate for Freeborn County Commissioner District 5
